The remaining 0.14% of the mass of the Solar System is composed of the other planets, their moons, and other small bodies.

The four inner planets – Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars – are known as terrestrial planets. These planets are composed mostly of rock and metal, and have solid surfaces. The outer planets – Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune – are gas and ice giants with no solid surfaces. They are composed of mostly hydrogen and helium, as well as some other elements and compounds. Beyond these planets are many icy dwarf planets and trans-Neptunian objects, including Pluto, Eris, Haumea, and Makemake.
